Our Process

From Waste to Value-Step by Step

Our streamlined four-step process ensures maximum plastic recovery and the highest quality recycled raw material output.

Collection

We operate a structured collection network across Murang'a, Kirinyaga, Nyeri, Embu, and Laikipia counties. Waste plastic is sourced from local vendors, informal collectors, and dump-site sorters who are compensated fairly for their contributions.

  • Organised vendor and collector network
  • Fair and transparent pricing for waste plastic
  • Collection containers provided at key sites
  • Regular pickup schedules across 5 counties

Sorting & Grading

All collected plastics arrive at our Murang'a facility where they are manually and mechanically sorted by polymer type and colour. This critical step determines the quality of the end product and ensures no contamination reaches our production machinery.

  • Sorted by polymer type: HDPE, LDPE, PP, PET
  • Colour separation for premium output grades
  • Manual inspection by trained quality staff
  • Contaminated material removed and safely disposed

Recycling

Our advanced industrial machinery cleans, shreds, melts, and extrudes the sorted plastic into uniform granules and pellets. Currently operating at 5,000 kg/week, we are scaling towards our 9,000 kg/week target as we expand capacity.

  • Industrial shredders and washing lines
  • Extrusion and pelletising equipment
  • 5,000 kg/week current output
  • Target: 9,000 kg/week at full capacity

Reuse

Our finished plastic granules and pellets are sold to manufacturers across Kenya who use them as raw material to produce new plastic goods-from packaging and furniture to containers and construction materials. This completes the circular economy loop.

  • Direct supply to B2B manufacturers
  • Used in injection moulding, extrusion & blow moulding
  • Reduces reliance on virgin plastic raw materials
  • Supports Kenya's circular economy goals
